Cusco & The Sacred Valley: Tour the heart of the Inca Empire, whose stone fortresses and religious centers remain in evidence among and around the traditional villages of its descendants. Visit the small village of Pisac, browse its vibrant markets, and interact with the poncho-clad residents. Also on the itinerary is the massive Inca fortress of Ollantaytambo, the site of a great victory against Spanish Conquistadors.

Machu Picchu: Expert, friendly local guides take you on a private tour of the legendary Inca ruins, which would be stunning anywhere, but are truly spectacular in their Andean setting high above the Urubamba River.

Amazon Basin: Begin with a gentle walk through the rainforest, leading to canoes that your group paddles across a lake, to a catamaran transfer to your lodge. A leisurely lunch is followed by a return to the catamaran for an extended tour of the lake and flooded forest plains, occupied by the world's largest-known flock of Red-Bellied Macaws. The rare Black Caimans are a special sight as night falls over the jungle. Another full day of discovering the wonders of the Amazon follows, with Brown Capuchin and Spider Monkeys, Giant Otters, over 40 species of birds, including the prehistoric-looking Hoatzins, and countless other animals likely to be encountered.
